Sprouting from the humble beginnings of independent music podcasting at The Justin Wayne Show, we noticed artists who needed help developing their internet identities and maximizing their online marketing.

So, we went out and found some online tools and started developing ways to help the growing masses of “middle class musicians”.

Then we started asking around.  It turned out that a lot of these bands, including the most interesting and motivated of them just needed a push in the right direction and access to the right tools.  So that’s what we do.  No Coward works on a case-by-case basis with each client to teach, motivate, and empower, helping them utilize effective tactics to market their media.

Although we specialize in music, our client base is already diverse including independent film companies, independent record labels, promotion companies and other creative organizations.

• Suffolk ‘n’ Cool – An international independent music podcast.  We helped them rebuild their website like a web app including a fully responsive design to fit any screen and HTML5 compliant audio to work on any device. We also helped develop a new mailing list and subscription strategy to meet their goals of growing their listener base.
• New Empress Magazine – Built a site using the Thesis framework for WordPress and imported the site from WordPress.com onto their own hosting provider.  We also completely reworked the information architecture, user experience, and optimized it for search engines.
• Stone Pony – Band of Robert Batley‘s – we helped them create a promotion plan for the launch of their first full-length album including social media, email lists, press relations, radio plugging, and more.  They are still getting offered gigs six months after our efforts.
• Mostly – A band based in north London, UK.  We consulted on web presences, social media, single and album release strategy, image, etc.  Will soon help release their third studio album.
• Embrace Coaching – NLP Coach’s Blog and E-Commerce Site.  We completely reworked this site within the Squarespace website system.
• The Justin Wayne Show – a music radio show and podcast now based in Walla Walla, Washington.  Our original playground.  We’re always tweaking and testing on this music podcast site, have a look!
• Insomnia Radio – worldwide leader in independent music podcasting.  We helped them pick their new WordPress theme and with a bit of the coding and user experience.
• Katy Potts, Utterly English Teaware’s Blog – custom teapots and tea accessories.  We reworked her WordPress.com blog and linked it to her main website and Facebook page.
• D.O.F 4:13 Productions – an independent film company based in north London.  We have helped them redesign their site twice, optimising for a minimalist design to show off their large body of film and TV work.
• Robert Batley – an acoustic singer-songwriter from south London.  We helped Rob build this site to keep him connected to his fans and save him time.
• Scudley Records – an independent, self-sufficient record label/recording studio/promotions company in Perth, Western Australia.  We helped them with a huge site upgrade and integration of his podcast, indie label, and recording studio.
• Jetstream Records – a multi-genre independent record label
