Fearless Online Strategies

We Recommend – Best WordPress Hosting Options

Here at No Coward Towers (ooh, that has a fine ring to it) we have good and bad experiences with lots of different applications, software, hardware, glassware… We often recommend the good ones to our clients, and some of them have affiliate links attached to them which means if you click their site and purchase, we get a little commission.

Now, please note that we do not just go around all willynilly and pick links that will make us money. Our primary focus is to present you with solutions worked for us and that may also work for you. An added bonus: when you need help with this stuff, you’ll be using the tools we do and that will allow us to really get down to busy-ness quickly.

So have a scroll down and see if there’s anything that strikes your fancy. I highly recommend this recommending page. 😉

WordPress Secure Managed Hosting

What do we use for our best clients when we want them to succeed, but on a manageable monthly cost? WPEngine. They make WordPress hosting easy with their great user interface and excellent, timely customer service. All you need after this is a theme and a domain name, they take care of the rest. The best part? If you pay for their service annually, you get 2 months free. No joke. Follow this link and read more about it.

Premium WordPress Themes

A great place to find themes in on Themeforest.net, where many WordPress theme developers offer their wares. Make sure you check the reviews and inspect the live demo of your themes to make sure they’re exactly what you’re looking for before you purchase. If you want some tweaking, contact us and we’ll lend a hand.

Domain Names

Due to their high level of security, usability and customer service we have been directing clients to use Namecheap.com for their domain registration services. They’re priced competitively and do a solid job, much better than a lot of the other registries out there.

Shared Web Hosting

Personally, I’ve worked with a lot of hosting companies between the different clients I’ve worked with and how long I’ve been doing this. Most of our experience is on lower traffic websites and so we’ve seen lots of the cheap, low end shared hosting you see out there. After all that, our favorite for smaller/midsized sites is Bluehost. They offer great service, a comparable price and very fast shared hosting. They also have lots of one-click installs for those of you out there doing it yourself, and a very easy-to-use backend (which isn’t found everywhere, let me tell you…)

Website Security

Sucuri will monitor your site for malware, cleanup and guarantees its reliability. They also alert you to things about your site that might invite the web gremlins in and generally kick tail when it comes to your site being taken over by strange ads and whatnot.

More WordPress Themes

If you’ve read our introductory blog post, you’ll know that we’re pretty hardcore users of WordPress, the open-source content management system. One of our workflows include starting with a premium theme and customizing from there, and so we are always on the lookout for beautiful, unique themes. A few years ago, we got ourselves a membership to Elegant Themes and haven’t looked back. While the coding of these sites isn’t always easy to wade through, they work out a lot of design issues before we even dig into the sites. Have a look for yourself! In fact, this site is even built on one of those, see if you can figure out which one!
